Hi folks,

How are we all doing? It’s been a while I know. I bet you’re all wondering where I’ve been. Okay, some of you know… I’ve been busy having a baby. Yep, one week ago another creation of mine popped into the world – my first child, a beautiful baby boy who I’ve managed to find ten minutes away from to write to you.

It’s been a busy nine months despite the lack of blogging here. Writing has proved a challenge due to a) not being able to sit in one place for one long, b) baby brain, and c) a big bump getting in the way of me and my keyboard. While I’m sure the months ahead are going to be pretty busy, I plan to get back to writing the third instalment of the “Sophie Morgan” vampire series. Many of you have been asking when it will be out and (hopefully) you should see it in the spring.

But that’s not my only news. I’m delighted to announce that I have been signed to US hybrid published Booktrope. They have picked up the first two Sophie Morgan books and will be republishing them in the coming months. It ‘s still early days but I’m working with a wonderful Book Manager and will be coming up with a plan of attack for production and development of the series as a whole in the weeks and months to come. This is such an exciting time for me, it’s bizarre to believe that in the course of a week so many of my professional and personal dreams are coming true. I never thought I’d be delivering my first baby one day and within a few days having my first teleconference to the US to get things moving.

It just goes to show you – keep preserving and you can achieve just about anything.

Thanks Wendy! It’s certainly been a busy week or so but its all worth it. Lovely to finally have our son here and to hear I have a publishing agreement just a few days before was quite a shock! Could be better timed I’m sure but Booktrope have been very patient – I’m sure baby brain has meant some peculiar and probably confusing correspondence from me lol!

Hehehe…. baby brain. I still hyperventilate when I remember leaving my daughter in her pram outside Bejam in Wembley and walking home without her. She’s 35 now but I still relive that sick panic. 😀
